A unique opportunity to own a bespoke facsimile medal set. Each set will vary slightly in its make up, 01 set is the only set with an autographed copy of "Flying Colours" the Douglas Bader story and Damien Lewis "Great Escapes TWO".
Douglas Bader asked for a replacement set of legs while being held in a German hospital, duly the RAF supplied the legs and were given to Bader. The next morning he climbed out of the window and made good his escape, he was recaptured a short while later, the Germans took his legs away and he was sent to Colditz where he remained for the remainder of WW2.
